Hotels

Rooms can be reserved in several hotels with an easy access by bus or by taxi to the Technion. The reservation must be made by the participants themselves. No reservations will be made by the organizing committee. We have negotiated better than normal rates with the hotels mentioned below.

1. For those who prefer to stay in the city center with pubs, cafes, restaurants, etc. we recommend rooms in Dan Carmel, Dan Panorama, Dan Gardens and Nof Carmel hotels in Carmel Center neighborhood. At Dan Gardens there is a flight of stairs to reach the main entrance from the street level, so it may not suitable for some of the participants.
   The hotels Dan Panorama, Nof Carmel, Dan Gardens and Dan Carmel are in the CARMEL CENTER neighborhood, in the upper left corner of the map and are indicated there by numbers 20, 27 and 19, respectively. Dan Carmel Hotel is located about 300 meters from Nof Carmel Hotel (#27) along the same main street.
   From these hotels Technion can be reached by taxi for around 50-60 Shekel (10-12 Euro)- day time fare; a taxi can be shared by up to 4 people. There is also a possibility to take a bus #31 (about 25 minutes ride) but it runs once an hour.
2. For those who prefer to stay in a quiet residential area, Marom Hotel is a good option. Technion is reachable from this hotel by bus #31 or #11 (10 minutes ride), taxi (around 40-50 Shekel) – day time fare or by walking (about 40-45 minutes). The Marom Hotel is located in ROMEMA neighborhood and is indicated by number 24 along with its name.
